NOWCAM 2026 will be hosted on the University of British Columbia Vancouver campus in the beautiful city of Vancouver, Canada. For thousands of years this was home to the Musqueam people. UBC is committed to supporting Indigenous resurgence and fostering respectful, mutually beneficial interactions.
Accommodations
If you are coming from out of town, please arrange for accommodations asap.
Discounted room rates are offered at UBC at Gage Suites [$197 studio (suite); $65 premium single (budget room)]. At present, only about 45 rooms are available. You can reserve your accommodation by calling the UBC Reservations Office at (604) 822-1000, Ext. 3, or toll free at 1-888-822-1030. There is no deposit but only a credit card guarantee hold. Payment is collected upon check in. You can also reserve using this link. Note the tabs for suite versus budget room. Please change the dates to fit your stay duration.
The advantage of staying on campus is that you can roll out of bed, grab breakfast in the cafeteria, and saunter to the conference in minutes. Though there are no other hotels close to campus, you can consider other options, including staying in downtown Vancouver, though prices will be higher.
Transportation during the conference
If you stay on campus you will be a hop, skip, and a jump to the conference itself, as well as all the social activities, including our pre-conference mingling event at Browns and the Gala Banquet, which are both located at UBC. If you stay downtown, you will need transportation to campus for the early start times. There are direct buses to and from campus from downtown (estimated time: 45 minutes without traffic).
Limited parking is available for guests staying in the conference campus accommodation for $18 per day plus tax. Visitor parking is available at various parkades around campus (see map below) for $25 per day.
